Buenos Aires Composers Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky and opera singers Frederica von Stade and Luciano Pavarotti have appeared on the stage of this opera house renowned for its acoustics. The opera house was built in 1908 and seats about 3,000. It is closed for renovation but is scheduled to reopen in 2010.
