Inglewood lawsuit: In the May 26 California section, an article about a whistle-blower lawsuit against Inglewood over its bid to lure the NFL said that the city was already in the process of transforming the old Hollywood Park racetrack. It was Stockbridge Capital Group that was redeveloping the site. Also, the article said the city of Carson had announced that it was planning to build an NFL stadium. Carson announced that the Raiders and Chargers planned to build the stadium. Additionally, the article said that Carson and Inglewood each fast-tracked approval of a stadium; the city councils fast-tracked the stadium proposals, not the approval of the proposals. Finally, the article said that Carson commissioned a study in which Tom Ridge, former Secretary of Homeland Security, expressed “safety and security concerns” with Inglewood’s stadium site being in the direct flight path of L.A. International Airport. Carson did not commission Ridge’s report. Ridge wrote a letter in December stating his concerns; he previously had been commissioned by AEG to study the Inglewood site.

Salt & Straw: In the May 28 Saturday section, a photo caption with an article about the ice cream company Salt & Straw identified an employee pictured spreading almond brittle as Caitlin Schirle. The woman in the photo was Clarissa Buch.
