Betty Broderick: In the Aug. 7 California section, an article about Betty Broderick being denied parole in the killings of her ex-husband and his wife was incorrectly published with a “Crime Watch” label, making it appear to be a current news event. The article was originally published by the San Diego Union-Tribune in January 2010, when Broderick was last denied parole. It should have carried a “California Retrospective” label. Also, the subheadline on the article said the killings took place in 1991. As the article reported, they occurred in 1989. The Times regrets the errors.

Fresno police shooting: In the Aug. 4 California section, an article about the autopsy results for a man fatally shot by Fresno police reported that he had a blood alcohol content of 0.12% and that it was 1.5 times the legal limit of 0.8%. The legal limit is 0.08%.

Fiat review: In the Aug. 6 Business section, an info box with a review of the Fiat 124 Spider incorrectly said the car has a 3.6-liter, V-6 engine and is all-wheel drive. It has a 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder turbocharged engine with rear-wheel drive.
