Rescue team frees horse that fell into sinkhole
A horse got itself into quite the predicament Tuesday when it fell into a sinkhole in rural Arroyo Grande in San Luis Obispo County, fire officials said.
While the horse did not immediately appear to be injured, a major effort was required to extricate it.
An Urban Search and Rescue Team from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection used all of its might - and tools - to hoist the horse out.
About two hours later, the horse was freed.
A veterinarian was called to check the horse for any injuries.
