Authorities say a skydiver died after crashing onto a wall next to a road near the Lodi Airport.

San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office Lt. Steve Pease told KCRA-TV that deputies were called to the scene at the parachute jump center at Lodi Airport south of Sacramento on Saturday.

Pease says deputies do not know if the accident was caused by a malfunctioning parachute or some other issue.
