National Politics and the Economy, September 2008Poll 560. September 19-22, 2008. Interviewed 1,428 adults including 1,287 registered voters and 838 likely voters by telephone. Includes cell phone sample. Margin of sampling error for adults, all registered voters and likely voters +/-3 percentage points each.

Poll 561. September 27-29, 2008. Interviews with registered voters who watched Friday’s presidential debate. The survey re-contacted all 1,287 registered voters who had completed interviews in the September 19-22 survey after the debate to sample their opinions of the candidates and the debate. After multiple attempts over three days, 701 were interviewed, and among them, 448 had watched the debate.
