Golden Gopher kiss cam surprise; video goes viral
When the kiss cam at a Valentine’s Day hockey game in Minnesota zoomed in on one couple, they were ready.
Adam Martin neatly pulled out a sign at Friday’s game between the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Minnesota Athletics, explaining why there wouldn’t be any smooching.
“The perception,” he told a CBS news outlet in Minnesota, “is that we’d look like we were on a date.” He snuffs out the notion with his “My Sister” sign.
The kiss cam video, posted Monday on YouTube, has gone viral, with nearly 4 million views as of Wednesday morning. International media -- the U.K., South Korea, Russia -- picked up on the video, a Gophers athletic department official told WCCO.
Now, for something much less familial, the Toronto Maple Leafs posted video of a kiss-cam marriage proposal. (Not to spoil the surprise, but she says yes.):
