Interactive: Child support garnisheed

As more Californians have lost their jobs, the state has collected an increasing amount of child support directly from unemployment checks. Use this interactive map to see which counties saw the largest increases in such collections from 2007 to 2008, the most recent statewide data available.

This feature requires that JavaScript be enabled and the Flash plug-in be installed.

Source: California Department of Child Support: 2007 and 2008 Federal Fiscal Years run Oct. 1 to September 30.
