From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A superior court judge has rejected a lawsuit that sought to make one of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s campaign groups return a $1.1-million contribution.

The suit was over a donation the governor made to support Proposition 77, which would strip lawmakers of the power to draw their own political districts.

Schwarzenegger’s campaign, meanwhile, agreed to pay nearly $15,000 in fines in response to a complaint by the Fair Political Practices Commission that he improperly reported donations of $99,400 during the 2003 recall.
