A 74-year-old Simi Valley man was arrested during the weekend on suspicion of fatally shooting one man and injuring another, police said Sunday.

Robert Sorrells was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday after the fatal shooting of Arthur De Long, 45, and the wounding of Edward Sanchez, 40, both of Simi Valley, at the Regency Lounge in Simi Valley, police said. De Long was shot in the back; Sanchez was hit in the face and back.

The motive for the shootings was unknown.

Responding to numerous 911 calls Saturday, Simi Valley police arrived at the lounge in the 1600 block of Los Angeles Avenue to find the two gunshot victims inside the bar, authorities said. Witnesses said the suspect had fled in a Volkswagen van.
