Dr. Marc Abrams, 58, has been taking long walks through his Silver Lake neighborhood since moving there in 1980. He says he walks 5 miles an hour and logs up to 200 miles a week. The retired family practitioner, who takes five newspapers, likes to read on his walks. Along the way he's earned a few nicknames: the Walking Man, the Silver Lake Walker, the Walking Doctor and the Reader Walker.
