Rod Blagojevich trial: Round 1
The corruption trial of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich consumed the summer of 2010 and concluded on August 17. After 14 days of deliberations, the six-man, six-woman jury convicted Blagojevich on just one of the 24 felony counts he faced -- a charge that he had lied to FBI agents about his intense involvement in campaign fundraising.

A question from the jury( Heather Charles, Chicago Tribune / August 11, 2010 )
Rob Blagojevich enters the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse with his wife, Julie after U.S. District Judge James Zagel summoned the lawyers and the defendants to court for the reading of a question from the jury.
After the hearing, Blagojevich said he didnt know whether it was good or bad news that the jury is deadlocked on some counts. "I have no way to make any kind of judgment on anything," he told reporters before leaving the courthouse. "Ive never been through this before."
