Times Wire Reports
Prosecutors say the man who killed five people with his car during an attack on the Dutch royal family has died of his injuries.
The suspect, identified by Dutch media as Karst Tates, 38, had been in critical condition since the attack Thursday during the Netherlands’ Queen’s Day holiday in Apeldoorn.
Prosecutors confirmed his death Friday morning.
Twelve other people were hurt when Tates rammed his car through police barricades and into onlookers toward an open-top bus carrying Queen Beatrix.
