The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Nathan R. Anderson, 22, of Howard, Ohio; corporal, Marine Corps. Anderson died Friday in enemy action in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Steven E. Auchman, 37, of Waterloo, N.Y.; master sergeant, Air Force. Auchman was killed Tuesday when rocket-propelled grenades struck his location in Mosul. He was assigned to the 5th Air Support Operations Squadron at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Travis A. Babbitt, 24, of Uvalde, Texas; specialist, Army. Babbitt died Tuesday when his patrol unit was attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade and small-arms fire in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Brian K. Baker, 27, of West Seneca, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Baker died Nov. 7 when a car bomb exploded near his security patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

James P. Blecksmith, 24, of San Marino; second lieutenant, Marine Corps. Blecksmith died Thursday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Theodore A. Bowling, 25, of Casselberry, Fla.; corporal, Marine Corps. Bowling was killed Thursday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Kyle W. Burns, 20, of Laramie, Wyo.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Burns died Thursday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Carlos M. Camacho-Rivera, 24, of Carolina, Puerto Rico; sergeant, Army. Camacho-Rivera died Nov. 5 in the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad of wounds suffered that day in a rocket blast in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 368th Transportation Company, 11th Transportation Battalion at Ft. Story, Va.

David M. Caruso, 25, of Naperville, Ill.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Caruso was one of two Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

Don A. Clary, 21, of Troy, Kan.; specialist, Army National Guard. Clary was one of two Army National Guard soldiers killed Monday when a car bomb exploded near their convoy in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 130th Field Artillery, Army National Guard in Horton, Kan.

Todd R. Cornell, 38, of West Bend, Wis.; staff sergeant, Army Reserve. Cornell was killed Tuesday while acting in an advisory support capacity when his Iraqi unit was attacked with small-arms fire in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 339th Infantry Regiment, Army Reserve in Fraser, Mich.

Thomas K. Doerflinger, 20, of Silver Spring, Md.; specialist, Army. Doerflinger was killed Thursday when his unit was attacked with small-arms fire in Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Steven W. Faulkenburg, 45, of Huntingburg, Ind.; command sergeant major, Army. Faulkenburg was killed Tuesday when he was attacked with small-arms fire in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany.

Bryan L. Freeman, 31, of Lumberton, N.J.; specialist, Army Reserve. Freeman died Monday in Baghdad of wounds suffered that day when he was attacked with small-arms fire while searching a vehicle. He was assigned to the 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion, Army Reserve in Warwick, R.I.

Peter J. Giannopoulos, 22, of Inverness, Ill.; corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Giannopoulos was killed Thursday in enemy action south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Nathaniel T. Hammond, 24, of Tulsa, Okla.; corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Hammond was killed Monday in an explosion while on patrol south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Erick J. Hodges, 21, of Bay Point, Calif.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Hodges was killed Wednesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Sean P. Huey, 28, of Fredericktown, Pa.; staff sergeant, Army. Huey was killed Thursday when a car bomb exploded near his patrol vehicle in Habbaniya. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Greaves, Korea.

William C. James, 24, of Huntington Beach; corporal, Marine Corps. James was among four Marines from Camp Pendleton who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Romulo J. Jimenez II, 21, of Miami; corporal, Marine Corps. Jimenez was one of two Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., who were killed Wednesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

Jeffrey Lam, 22, of Queens, N.Y.; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Lam was killed Monday in a nonhostile vehicle accident in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 6th Communications Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group, Marine Corps Reserve in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Sean M. Langley, 20, of Lexington, Ky.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Langley was killed Nov. 7 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Nicholas D. Larson, 19, of Wheaton, Ill.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Larson was among four Marines from Camp Pendleton who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Jarrod L. Maher, 21, of Imogene, Iowa; corporal, Marine Corps. Maher died Friday of a nonhostile gunshot wound at Abu Ghraib, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Dan T. Malcom Jr., 25, of Brinson, Ga.; first lieutenant, Marine Corps. Malcom was one of two Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., who were killed Wednesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

Dennis J. Miller Jr., 21, of La Salle, Mich.; private first class, Army. Miller was killed Wednesday when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his Abrams tank in Ramadi. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 72nd Armor Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Casey, Korea.

Shane K. O’Donnell, 24, of DeForest, Wis.; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. O’Donnell was among three Marine Corps reservists killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Joshua D. Palmer, 24, of Blandinsville, Ill.; corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Palmer was killed Monday in a nonhostile vehicle incident in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group, Marine Corps Reserve in Portland, Ore.

Aaron C. Pickering, 20, of Marion, Ill.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Pickering was killed Wednesday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Brian P. Prening, 24, of Sheboygan, Wis.; corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Prening died Friday in enemy action in Babil province, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division in Chicago.

Branden P. Ramey, 22, of Boone, Ill.; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Ramey was among three Marine Corps reservists killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Gene Ramirez, 28, of San Antonio; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Ramirez was killed Wednesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Justin D. Reppuhn, 20, of Hemlock, Mich.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Reppuhn was killed Thursday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

David G. Ries, 29, of Clark, Wash.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps Reserve. Ries was killed Monday in an explosion while riding in a Humvee near Fallouja. He was assigned to the 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group, Marine Corps Reserve in Portland, Ore.

Juan E. Segura, 26, of Homestead, Fla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Segura was among four Marines from Camp Pendleton who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Abraham Simpson, 19, Chino; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Simpson was killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Russell L. Slay, 28, of Humble, Texas; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Slay was one of two Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
