Return Lady Liberty

Re “Court Upholds Jailing of Immigrants,” April 30: Now that the Supreme Court has upheld the jailing and deporting of immigrants without a hearing (April 30), it might be appropriate for President Bush to dismantle the Statue of Liberty and return it to the French. I’m sure his administration and followers would be overjoyed.
