Reaction to Gov. Larry Hogan’s cancer diagnosis

I was stunned and saddened to learn about Governor Hogan’s illness. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his loved ones. I join the people of Maryland in wishing him a complete and speedy recovery.

When Lt. Governor Rutherford called to give me the news, we discussed our shared commitment to our state. On behalf of myself and the delegation, I pledged to work with him and Governor Hogan to maintain the continuity of government and continue working together for the good of all Marylanders. --Barbara A. Notable Marylanders react to Governor Hogan’s announcement that he has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

“My thoughts and prayers are with Gov. Hogan and his family as he begins the process of beating this disease. Through his focus and determination, Gov. Hogan has proven to be a disciplined and determined fighter, and I have no doubt he will use those qualities to overcome this challenge. I wish Gov. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day:

“Gov. Larry Hogan is a fighter, and we’re confident he will fight this cancer head on. We are praying for him and for his family for strength in the days ahead,” said Chairman Priebus.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Gov. Hogan and the people of Maryland. We pray for healing and for comfort,” said Co-Chairman Day.
