Mother guilty in children’s deaths
From Times Wire Reports
A woman pleaded guilty in Dayton to killing her two children by setting fire to the family’s suburban home.
Heather Silverman, who had initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, entered her pleas to two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated arson. The fire killed her 4-year-old son and 4-month-old daughter.
Silverman faces from 30 years to life in prison when she is sentenced May 7.
