Animal fighting felony bill signed

Gov. Dave Freudenthal signed a bill in Cheyenne that will make dogfighting and similar forms of animal abuse a felony. Under the new law, anyone convicted of conducting dogfighting or cockfighting faces up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
