Host: Susan King

I’m Susan King, an entertainment writer at the Times for over 25 years, and I’ve been in love with the movies since I saw James Cagney in “Yankee Doodle Dandy” on television when I was just 3. But classic Hollywood cinema has been more than a hobby for me. I received my master’s degree in film history at USC and haven’t looked back. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to interview such legends as Helen Hayes, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Robert Wagner, Kirk Douglas and Sidney Poitier. I’ve played 1930 movie trivia with Gregory Peck, shared a plate of cinnamon toast with June Havoc and was serenaded in a hotel coffee shop by Steve Lawrence.
