Parents’ Night Out being held this month

Share

Parents can enjoy a night out while their children play games and participate in craft projects during the city’s first Parents’ Night Out on Feb. 26.

The city is partnering with the Laguna Beach Community & Susi Q Center to produce the event, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the center, 380 Third. St.

The idea for the event came from a city employee who visited a Lake Tahoe recreation center offering a similar program, said Patty Quilter, city program director.

“We’re trying it out,” Quilter said.

Parents are encouraged to park in the Susi Q lot and walk downtown, where restaurants will offer discounts. City recreation staff will supervise the children, who must be potty trained and no older than 10. Pizza will be provided. Parents must pick up their children by 9:30 p.m.

The cost is $20 for a Laguna Beach child and $25 for a nonresident. Each additional sibling would be $15 and $20, respectively.

Registration is required. Visit bit.ly/1T0G3F2.
