Laguna Beach church will feed homeless during Christmas Eve breakfast

Laguna Beach Net-Works church will feed the homeless during a Christmas Eve breakfast Sunday.

The public is welcome to serve, eat and socialize beginning at 9 a.m. at the Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach. Attendees will sing Christmas carols at 10 a.m. accompanied by musicians from the crowd.

In past years, Laguna Beach Net-Works held Christmas lunches at the White House Restaurant, but since Christmas Eve falls on Sunday this year, Net-Works incorporated the celebration into their weekly Sunday time slot, pastor Don Sciortino said.

The church feeds breakfast to more than 60 homeless people each week, with 40 of those people staying for the church’s weekly gathering, Sciortino said.

The Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach is at 286 St. Ann’s Drive in Laguna Beach.

Net-Works also collects donations to pay for knapsacks, filled with items such as toiletries, which are given to the homeless.

To make a donation, call (949) 328-7230 or mail checks to: Net-Works L.B., 303 Broadway St., Suite 107, Laguna Beach.
