The buddy system goes to work at Edison High track-and-field meet

More than 50 students with developmental disabilities were paired with student athletes Friday in a track-and-field meet at Edison High School in Huntington Beach.

During the second annual event, members of Edison’s Special Abilities Cluster, or SAC, worked with student athletes who acted as their SAC track coaches in activities like the 50-meter and 100-meter sprints, 4x100-meter relay, long jump and shot put.
