Update -- Since winning its opener against Charlotte, the Sky has lost six consecutive games, including Wednesday’s 86-73 decision in Seattle. The Sparks contributed to the Chicago skid on May 30, winning 64-55 on the Sky’s home court. The 55 points are the fewest scored against the Sparks this season. Chicago forward Amanda Lassiter, a six-year veteran, is off to her best start. Lassiter’s 10.6 scoring average is more than double her career average of 4.4. The Sparks’ 86-78 victory over Detroit on Wednesday was highlighted by Mwadi Mabika’s 24 points, her biggest scoring outburst since she posted a 26-point game against New York on June 29, 2004.
