Update -- The excitement the Silver Stars had from their season-opening 79-63 win over Houston on Sunday evaporated Tuesday in a 62-53 home loss to Indiana. But rookie Sophia Young is off to a nice start, averaging 12.5 points and 11 rebounds. San Antonio will be trying to end an eight-game losing streak to the Sparks, dating to Aug. 9, 2003. The Sparks, coming off Tuesday’s 72-65 win over Charlotte, are playing their third road game in five days. Temeka Johnson strained her right quadriceps muscle on Tuesday, and whether she will play will be a game-time decision. Chamique Holdsclaw has not been with the team while attending to a family matter.
