Motorcycle races with U.S., European riders set for Industry
The second annual Monster Energy World Speedway Invitational motorcycle races are scheduled Saturday in the City of Industry.
The event, which starts at 7 p.m., features flat-track racing at the roof-covered Grand Arena in the Industry Hills Expo Center.
Among the 16 entrants are riders from the United States, Great Britain, Denmark, Australia and Poland.
The American riders include last year’s winner, Billy Janniro, along with Billy Hamill, Greg Hancock and Charlie Venegas.
The format includes four-lap heats under which the riders collect points in an effort to reach the two semifinal races and then the final race that determines the winner.
