HP folds services provider into unit

Hewlett-Packard Co. said Electronic Data Systems Corp., the services provider it purchased for $13.2 billion in August, will become a business unit within the company’s Technology Solutions Group.
Ron Rittenmeyer, chief executive of EDS, will retire Dec. 31, Palo Alto-based HP said. Joe Eazor, a five-year EDS veteran, will run the EDS unit and report to HP Executive Vice President Ann Livermore.
