When it comes to pitching a business idea in one minute, one Norfolk startup founder encourages budding entrepreneurs to practice. "Repetition makes perfect," said Nisha Witt, founder of Aesop Technologies, which is developing solar-powered technologies to make it easier for folks to charge their cell phones on-the-go. The 28-year-old pitched a wireless charge pad and a solar-powered bench where users could charge their phones through USB ports. She estimates she's pitched about 20 times in the past 1.5 years during startup weekend events and other competitions, small groups and to potential customers and the public.
