Yankees pitcher Alfredo Aceves suspended 50 games for positive drug test

New York Yankees pitcher Alfredo Aceves received a 50-game suspension from Major League Baseball following a second positive test for a "drug of abuse" while in the team's minor-league system. Aceves, a 31-year-old right-hander, has been pitching for the the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate. He made 10 relief appearances for the Yankees in May and June, compiling a 1-2 record with a 6.52 earned-run average.
