New Oakland Athletics designated hitter/first baseman Billy Butler has sold a pedigreed Cactus League property in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $2 million. Butler, who joined the A's on a three-year, $30-million pact this offseason, purchased the home from former Dodgers and Angels pitcher Dan Haren in 2011 for $1.925 million. He had asked as much as $2.299 million for the property last year. The Santa Barbara-inspired estate, built in 2007, occupies about an acre in the Santa Catalina Estates community with outdoor entertainer’s spaces, a resort-like pool and spa with water slide and grotto, an outdoor fireplace and a putting green.
