Tacoma beckons for Golden Knights product
After making nine appearances for the Seattle Mariners, including eight starts, former St. Francis High standout Christian Bergman was sent to the triple-A Tacoma Rainiers on June 21.
Bergman went 4-4 with a 5.44 earned-run average with Seattle. He struck out 30 and walked 14 in 46 1/3 innings after joining a rotation beset by injuries. Bergman was assigned to Tacoma after the Mariners took ace Felix Hernandez off the disabled list.
In his second second start since arriving back in Tacoma, Bergman had a no-decision during Thursday’s appearance against the Las Vegas 51s.
