Shaheen looks for one last big weekend
Crescenta Valley High sophomore Katelynn Shaheen enjoyed plenty of success at the CIF Southern Section Division II Diving Championships at Riverside City College on May 8.
Shaheen became her school’s first diving champion since 1998 by capturing the title with 478.45 points.
Now Shaheen will look for more glory as she has accepted a bid to the CIF State Diving Championships on Friday at West Clovis High.
Shaheen is seeded sixth out of 28 competitors and will get going at 8:30 a.m.
Shaheen is the only local competitor at the swimming or diving championships.
