Virginia's Justin Anderson goes to Dallas Mavericks in NBA draft first round

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Justin Anderson's lifelong dream of playing in the NBA is within reach after he was taken Thursday night by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA draft. Anderson, a 6-foot-6 native of Montross who left Virginia after his junior season, was selected 21st overall in the first round of the draft by Dallas. He's the eighth former U.Va. player to be chosen in the first round, and the first since 1995 when guard Cory Alexander went 29th overall to the San Antonio Spurs.
