Booking a boutique hotel in L.A.? Beverly Hills Hotel, Miyako Hybrid Hotel are tops
If you care what other people think, here’s a list of the best boutique hotels rated by Hotels.com users. The Beverly Hills Hotel, a.k.a. the Pink Palace, and Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance take the top two spots in the Los Angeles area.
Other highly rated hotels in L.A. ranged from Residence Inn Los Angeles L.A. Live in downtown to the Malibu Beach Inn at Carbon Beach in Malibu.
Hotels.com compiled a list of the 10 most popular travel destinations in the U.S. and boutique hotels that received a rating of 4.5 or higher out of a possible top score of 5.
Also, customer raves were factored in, and properties had to have received at least 50 reviews from travelers who had stayed at the hotels as of Jan. 31.
1906 Lodge in Coronado and the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego were top picks for the San Diego area. Fairmont only recently took over the hotel that also was TripAdvisor’s top hotel in 2014; it’s spa won a five-star rating from Forbes this year too.
In San Francisco, the Inn San Francisco, a B&B at 943 S. Van Ness Ave., and Fairmont Heritage Place at Ghirardelli Square were ranked as tops.
In Las Vegas, a city that loves bigger and better hotels, boutique hotel kudos went to Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas and the Cliffs at Peace Canyon. Neither property has an on-site casino.
