Bring the kids along on your next cruise with these sales at Holland America and Crystal Cruises

Sales at Crystal Cruises and Holland America Line could provide a break for families who want to save on their next cruise vacation. It's worth checking out these children-sail-for-free deals.

But don't wait too long to decide; the offers are good for a limited time.

Crystal Cruises: The L.A.-based luxury cruise line that turns 25 this year offers nice perks for families traveling with children from September through December.

Kids younger than 17 sail free as the third person sharing a cabin along with two paying adults. Families of six or more people will receive onboard credits up to $400 for each stateroom and a $500 credit toward a land excursion too.

The offer applies to cruises to New England and Canada, the Caribbean and South America aboard the Crystal Symphony. It also applies to Mediterranean cruises aboard the Crystal Serenity.

Prices start at $1,875 per person. The Kids Sail Free offer is good through April 30.

Holland America Line: The cruise line also has an anniversary (its 142nd year) with a sale that allows third and fourth passengers -- think kids or family members -- in the same cabin to sail for free or reduced prices.

In addition, those who sail seven to 10 days receive a shore excursion credit of $200 per stateroom; 11 days or longer, $400 per stateroom.

The sale applies to selected sailings this summer and into 2016. It covers lots of destinations, including the Panama Canal, Caribbean and Alaska.

The Anniversary Sale is on through June 1.
