California: October brings scarecrow festivals

Towns in California are celebrating October by hosting month-long scarecrow festivals. Cambria, on the central coast, is hosting its fourth-annual Cambria Scarecrow Festival. Last year more than 350 scarecrows lined the business districts. Fallbrook, in northern San Diego County, is also hosting its second annual Fallbrook Scarecrow Days.
