Gear: New Sonicare toothbrush has a travel case for mouths on the go

Share

Increasingly, dentists laud powered periodontics. Philips has produced a pricey but impressive update on motorized mouth care to go.

The new Sonicare DiamondClean model comes with a charging travel case that includes a built-in charging port with a USB cord and AC wall adapter that can rev up the brush while it is ensconced in the case.

The DiamondClean also comes with a powered stand and a “charging glass” that uses inductive technology to recharge the toothbrush while it just rests in the glass, atop the power stand. The glass also can be used for rinsing.

The handle’s power button shifts among five brushing modes. You get two interchangeable brush heads: standard and compact (for smaller mouths or hard-to-reach places).

Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Toothbrush in white or black costs $220.
