Kim Kardashian in Bora-Bora? Keep up with this deal

Kim Kardashian is set to tie the knot Saturday (in Montecito, according to the New York Post), but she spent some serious hang time in May with hubby-to-be Kris Humphries in French Polynesia. In fact, Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” (10 p.m. E!) kicks off a three-parter of family members visiting the islands.

For part of the trip, Kim & co. stayed at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa, which features hillside rooms as well as those dreamy thatched-roof bungalows suspended over the turquoise waters of a lagoon. Want to “keep up”? Check out this package starting at $2,699 per person, which includes airfare from L.A., a stay at the Hilton and more. Just don’t expect Kim to be there; the show was filmed last spring.

The deal: The Vacation Like a Celebrity package from TravelScene includes round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Tahiti on Air Tahiti Nui, one night at the Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti on Tahiti, four nights at the Hilton resort on Bora-Bora, daily breakfast and inter-island flights. Prices are based on double occupancy.

When: The deal is good for travel through March 31, 2012, with some blackout dates. (Note the website says this deal ends earlier, but I called and found out it’s good through March.)

Tested: I called TravelScene and found availability for the cheapest rate for the stay starting Nov. 10 and returning Nov. 15. Total with taxes and fees comes to $2,890 per person, pricey but a bit of savings for this luxury trip. Consider L.A.-Tahiti round-trip airfare alone can run from $1,200 to $2,000 and more per person, depending on when you go.
