Las Vegas: Medical clinic open at McCarran airport, pharmacy to follow

A medical clinic has opened at Las Vegas' McCarran airport; a pharmacy is to follow

If you’re feeling under the weather before a flight from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport, you can seek relief at the airport.

McCarran Medical Clinic has opened just before the security checkpoint for the A and B gates at McCarran’s Terminal 1. It is intended to serve the 42 million travelers who pass through McCarran each year as well as the 15,000 people who work there and will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Patients may be seen with or without an appointment. Info: (702) 261-6707

On Friday, a full-service drugstore is to open at the same location. Many of its items will be sized to meet the Transportation Security Administration’s 3-1-1 requirements. The pharmacy part of the drugstore is scheduled to open in early June. The store will remain open until 9 p.m.

Los Angeles International Airport has a first-aid station, but a link from its website directs people to an off-site clinic to see a physician.

Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International, the nation’s busiest airport, provides healthcare services at its AeroClinic. It’s open seven days a week.
