LAX is the worst large airport in the US if not the world. While the Tom Bradley terminal may be much improved it leaves a lot to be desired. The whole complex is dirty, far behind the times in terms of restaurants, stores, and other services and extremely difficult for connecting passengers to navigate. The customs and immigration can be your worst nightmare if you arrive at the same time as a couple of large planes from Asia. Employees work at half pace (don't believe me just watch a few for awhile), ground transportation is poor, and the airport is ranked as one of the least safe. In addition LAX runs Ontario Airport and it is going under quickly. If not for UPS it would have been shut down. Want to entertain yourself on your IPad while you wait? Be prepared to pay big time to hook up. Boston's Logan Airport lets you get on line for free. Next fiasco ? The bullet train. Only in California
