Sierra Mar Restaurant, 47900 Highway 1, Big Sur; (831) 667-2800; Suspended on a cliff over the ocean with floor-to-ceiling windows, this place has a view and a meal not to be missed. The four-course prix fixe menu is $105 and changes nightly.
