In France, you’ve got a friend

Share

The French are misunderstood people from an American point of view (“Let’s Give the French Their Due,” Letters, Jan. 26). I have visited France twice in five years, and I found them among the friendliest people on Earth.

A Frenchman would be far more likely to see that you go in the right direction if you asked for assistance than a gas station attendant in the U.S. would be to give you the time of the day.
