National park photo ops: How to get the best shot of the most-photographed spot at Arches

Take plenty of water and a lot of patience because the trail can be crowded on the way to Delicate Arch in Utah's Arches National Park.

Delicate Arch is Arches National Park‘s most photographed attraction. The trail to it is an easy scramble over 3 miles.

Some portions are minimally marked (so pay attention to the little rock cairns that signal the way).

There’s a 480-foot elevation change near the trail’s end. Beware — there could be some heavy foot traffic on weekends and holidays.

The best pictures of the 65-foot arch are at sunrise and after sunset.
