Land meets water -- now there's an irresistible story. And here are several dozen chapters from the Pacific Coast version of that endless tale. We've covered all these waterfront California, Oregon and Washington destinations recently, and now we've brought our findings together with photos and links to resources within and beyond the pages of The Times. "Distance" for each destination refers to the driving distance from downtown Los Angeles.
