Diagon Alley opens Tuesday (today) as the latest feature in the Universal Orlando kingdom in Florida. For those who can’t wait, Hilton Orlando offers a room and three-day park-to-park tickets that allow you to enter an hour earlier than everyone else — and the offer is good through mid-December.

The deal: Not everyone had to wait until Tuesday for the opening of Diagon Alley. Theme park visitors during the Fourth of July holiday weekend were treated to a “soft opening” of the stroll through London down the alley with Harry Potter shops and restaurants, and the new ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

Hilton Orlando offers a hotel package that includes three-day passes for both parks, Universal Studios Florida where Diagon Alley is and Universal’s Islands of Adventure where the Wizarding World is.

The unlimited three-day pass for both parks comes with 9 a.m. entry to the theme parks. Those who reserve for four nights or more and use the code “UNITRAVEL” receive $50 off the cost. This deal is available online only, and certain blackout dates apply.

When: The offer is good through Dec. 18, based on availability.

Tested: I penciled out this vacation package for two adults and two children 10 and younger staying four nights starting July 27. The price comes to $1,342, including the $50 discount but excluding tax and fees, or $335 per person.

Three-day park-to-park passes usually cost $174 for children and $185 for adults. In a look at Universal’s ticketing website, none of the passes appears to offer early admission, so that’s a perk reserved for package buyers. Room price comes out to about $155 a night on the dates I checked.

Other hotels offer similar packages too. Check out those offers on Universal Orlando’s website.
