Only in Vegas: From shotgun wedding to machine gun divorce

Share

Divorce parties are nothing new, but using a machine gun to celebrate marriage independence certainly puts a new twist on “til death do us part.”

Machine Guns Vegas lets divorcees not only fire off rounds using the largest caliber shot available, but encourages guests to bring wedding dresses, marriage certificates and other items from the marriage-gone-wrong to use as targets.

Owner Genghis Cohen calls this a “therapeutic” approach to divorce “in the wake of what can be a truly sad event,” according to a statement.

For $249, a group of five can fire 40 rounds on a 1919 mounted belt-fed machine gun and 10 rounds on a black or pink M4, all shot on private firing lanes.

Anyone from beginner to expert can shoot at this 10,000-square-foot firing range.

The Las Vegas Gun Girls offer safety tips and instructions, and private transportation takes guests to and from the facility that’s open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
