Take the scenic route with Polaris RZR off-road excursions in Las Vegas

Share

Forget about driving fast race cars at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Now you can head out into the desert for an off-road excursion on a Polaris RZR.

The guided ATV tours leave from Jean, Nev., about 20 minutes south of Las Vegas, and head into the rugged terrain of the Mojave Desert. Tours last one hour or up to half a day.

Stops along the way give drivers a chance to shoot photos or grab snacks and water. Drivers can bring a passenger and switch halfway through to share the experience.

Stay out half the day and dine at the Pioneer Saloon, built in 1913, in Goodsprings, Nev.

Three different packages starting at $199 put drivers behind the wheel of these 110-horsepower vehicles equipped with all wheel drive and electronic power steering.

The climbs through rocky terrain go slow while flat surfaces provide arched sprays of sand.

Richard Petty Driving Experience and Zero1 Desert Adventures start these extreme desert trips on Feb. 17.
