I would like to differ with two opinions offered in the Dec. 16 Viewers’ Views. First, if viewers are put off by films like “The End” being shown unedited on independent stations like KTLA and KCOP, they can watch network fare like “Conan the Barbarian,” a pretty good flick that was reduced to joke status by rampart editing. Second, “Miami Vice” is far from trashy. It’s one of the few shows that employs music as a driving force in the story instead of as boring background
