Brothers Accused of 42 Crimes
Two South Los Angeles brothers--one already charged with the rape and murder of two women last year--were charged by the district attorney today with a series of burglaries, robberies, rapes and sexual assaults in connection with a yearlong crime spree in Southwest Los Angeles.
Kevin Haley, 21, and Reginald Haley, 24, will be arraigned Monday on a total of 42 felony charges, including 15 burglaries, 11 robberies, 10 sexual assaults, 3 rapes and 3 kidnapings. Police said Kevin Haley, already charged with two slayings, is also a suspect in the murders of several other elderly women. Both men have been held in county jail since their arrests last fall.
