Operators of a South Main Street motel have been ordered not to permit anyone but registered guests on the premises, or to rent rooms for less than 24-hour periods pending a hearing into allegations that the motel is being used for trafficking in illegal drugs. The city attorney’s office is alleging that rooms at the Bomco Motel at 8315 S. Main St. are frequently let to temporary inhabitants for the purpose of dealing rock cocaine, Deputy City Atty. Mary E. House said. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John L. Cole issued a temporary restraining order banning operation of the establishment for such purpose. A hearing was set for May 2.
