WARSAW — The United States and Poland agreed today to resume commercial flights this month for the first time since 1981, when Washington suspended landing rights to protest Poland’s imposition of martial law.
Under the agreement, the first Pan American World Airways flight will land April 28 at Warsaw’s Okecie Airport. A Polish airlines LOT aircraft will fly to New York on the same day. Both airlines are expected to run three to four scheduled flights a week.
